Spring Tablescape

I have had the same Spring tablescape for 3 years, but this year I changed it up a little bit. I had all these fun linen napkins in spring colors so I put one inside each goblet glass, I like the extra pop of color it adds.
I bought the colored bowls at tai-pan a few years ago.. they were suppose to be ice-cream bowls

So there you have it! pretty simple, but it works for us. We don't eat @ the table a lot during the week with just two of us at home.. but on Sundays when the whole family comes for dinner it looks like I have been working really hard to make it nice for them- haha And I have (cooking the dinner) ;) I love when my family gets together!! I'm not one to save the NICE dishes for special occasions, we use them anytime.. because EVERYDAY is special!

Planting Jelly Beans

Have you ever planted "magic" jelly beans? We did this with the little boys three years ago, it is soooo fun! I didn't do anything fancy- I just made a hand written tag- glued a jelly bean onto it- filled a sm. bag with jelly beans- and attached the tag with some curling ribbon. Pretty simple, but oh the fun we had... so if you want to have some fun, here is how you do it ........

To plant the "magic" jelly beans-first we had them put some rocks in the bottom of their pot, then scoop some dirt on top & as you can see you have to poke those jelly beans into the dirt oh so carefully........

after the jelly beans had been planted.. they stayed at Grandma's for a few days, and everytime the boys came to visit they watered them really good-- then one day when they came guess what they found..........

were they surprised?? Their smiles say it all!!! This is a fun activity to do with little ones. You still have time to plant some magic jelly beans, they don't take long to grow- and the memories are priceless. So get planting......

Because if you plant "magic" jelly beans..... You WILL get these!!! :)
