Easter Basket Filler Ideas

Yes... I know that Easter is still a month away but I am trying to get everything done now because it is spring break for my kids so I wanna enjoy the break with them rather than shopping for Easter. Here are some of the things that I bought on amazon for their baskets.

I also love to give them Easter outfits and this is what my kids are wearing!

Also I love to add spiritual things in their basket and this Book of Mormon Study guide is AMAZING. The kids are actually understanding the book of Mormon because of this study guide and I couldn't be more greatful.

Easter Egg Hunt with Bunny Bucks & Chick Change!!

This is what we did last year- 2013 for our Easter Egg Hunt.  Just print out our Bunny Bucks & Chick Change printables and place them in the plastic eggs...for each child I hid 30 eggs with their name on them- that way I made sure everyone had the same amount of money to spend at the general store.  There were other eggs hidden for them to find too, with miscellaneous little threats in them.  After they find all the eggs then they can take their money to the general store and buy what they want.  I had enough of everything so that they all could get one of everything- It was a blast and the boy's LOVED it so much...  this year we are doing it again.  You can get our free prints here http://theyarecrafty.blogspot.com/2013/03/our-easter-egg-hunt.html  Hope you enjoy them as much as we did... Hoppy Easter!!

Here is a great bundle on amazon that I have used to fill the eggs!

Here is the carrot bubbles that are always a kid favorite

Twin's Baby Shower

I was going through some pictures on my camera... and found these pictures I had taken of the baby shower we had for my friends twins- I posted a tutorial on how to make the diaper cake, but hadn't posted any of the actual pictures of the shower....so here they are

she had one boy and one girl!! so I was very creative and decorated in Blue & Pink LOL

I served Breakfast... and had lots of help with the food from family & friends- have I ever mentioned I hang out with some amazing cooks?

Fresh fruit and dip is always a hit...

I love making these yogurt, granola & fruit parfaits for every occasion- so yummy!

Jamie made a cute tag to tie onto bags of pink & blue gumballs for a hand-out  "Bubble Trouble"  for everyone to take home!

I bagged up a few.... then left bags, tags and a jar of bubblegum for the guests to make their own-

Along with the muffins, fruit and parfaits we had a yummy Breakfast casserole and sausage roll-ups.....

It's always a perfect day... when I can spend time with some of my favorite people- and eat wonderful food too!!  And on top of that the Mom to be received so many fun & needful things for two of the cutest little people on the planet!!

Banana Oatmeal Cookies

Hi everyone.... yes I know it's been a LONG time since I've posted on the blog,...... I don't know what has been taking up all my time- but I wanted to share a great, easy, healthy snack I made today.   The little boys are always asking for a snack, and I had these bananas in the freezer- so I decided to try to make a cookie with them.   They are really easy and only use 3 ingredients!

First of all let me say- I know these look disgusting-  when I have bananas that are really ripe and are going to go bad- I put them in the freezer, peel and all. They turn this horrible black color- but they are so good to bake with.     So to make these cookies you will need 2 very ripe bananas

as you can see they get really gooey in the freezer- which is why they are so great to bake with... they make the best banana bread too.  The easiest way to open them is to slice them with a knife from end to end like this.....then they come out of the peel really easy- they need to be thawed before you do this, you can put them in the microwave for a couple of minutes on defrost or just sit them on the counter for an hour before you are going to use them.

so put your 2 bananas in a bowl, then I took 1 1/2 cups rolled oats and put them in the blendtec to grind them up a little bit. Mix the 2 ingredients together with a fork, mix in a handful of chocolate chips.  Scoop them onto a parchment lined cookie sheet and bake them for 15 minutes @ 350 degrees.

Take them out of the oven and enjoy a really healthy cookie- no sugar- no flour- no salt- just bananas, rolled oats and of course a little bit of chocolate!!!
